If the pitfall of every artist is to create a universe of his own, MNKIZZLE passes the
test with flying colors by showing an artistic maturity that would make us doubt his
young age -- at 22 years old, he is a complete author, composer and performer.
Born Ménélik Arnell in Saint-Martin FWI, MNKIZZLE inherits his musical ear and
artistic curiosity within the walls of Axum Art Café, a popular jazz bar held by his
father- Ras Mosera, renowned painter and songwriter.
As a teen, MNKIZZLE attended concerts of the largest local jazz
musicians and as his passion for music grew, so did his experiences and
collaborations: at age 14, he recorded his first song with The C-Blood.
The young artist's music soon aroused the interest of popular groups like The Red
Eye Crew and The Sound Twins with whom he will each collaborate.
His strong work ethic and determination soon opened the door to great opportunities:
He joined Viruss Music Management and released his first mixtape in May
2010 Back Like I Never Left, an exquisite mix of Trans Rap and Pop which fitted
seamlessly into the musical landscape.
Embraced by a welcoming crowd, his mixtapes are a success when MNKIZZLE
decided to retreat from the public scene in order to work on his next opus.
